This hypothetical rendering exercise resulted in the creation of a rustic two-story lodge cantilevered over a large lake. The massing concept involves two contrasting volumes of wood and concrete slipping past each other. The interior features a floating staircase and floor-to-ceiling shelves that also act as a room divider on the second floor.
